The objectives of the Children’s Library Services Section shall be the active participation and scholarly interest in the enterprises undertaken by the Catholic Library Association, especially those pertaining to children's libraries, both school and public; the promotion of communication and mutual support among children's librarians; and the enhancement of library service to children through education, cooperation, and the exchange of ideas.

We hope that with the development of this website we may better benefit you in your library service to children and continue to foster a supportive community of members.

The Children’s Section sponsors two awards, the Regina Medal and the Philip F. Neau Memorial Award. The 53rd Regina Medal was awarded at this year’s past convention, in New Orleans to Ashley Bryan. Membership in CLA and to this section opens you to possible participation in these awards.
