Mary A. Grant Award 2012 Winner Announced

Currently Executive Director of Library Services at Rosemont College, Rosemont, PA, Cathy is a past president of the Catholic Library Association, and currently chair of the Academic Libraries, Archives, and Library Education Section; Vice President/President Elect of Tri-State College Library Cooperative (TCLC); and a board member and secretary of the Lower Providence Public Library Board.  Cathy has taught courses on children’s literature and middle school literature on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Occasionally, she also has given a two-hour Children’s Literature overviews to various classes in the Graduate program of Education at Rosemont College. In addition, she reviews professional librarianship and children’s books for The Catholic Library World.

Cathy was born and raised in Philadelphia, graduated from Marywood University, Scranton, PA with an AB in Education and earned an MLS from Drexel University.  Cathy now lives in Eagleville, PA with her husband, Jay. They are the proud parents of three grown children, Liam, Caitlin, and Kevin.  Cathy is an avid quilter and reader.  She is currently working on baby quilts for a grand baby to arrive after Thanksgiving.
