Academic Section Presenters requested.
This is an update concerning the Academic Section convention presenters. I have contacted the following:
Dr. Robert Darnton to talk about future of books and libraries or to discuss his first year seminar in relation to libraries/IL. Dr. Darnton is the author of "The Case for Books" published in 2009 as well as various articles about libraries in "The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Fr. Myles Sheehan to present on collection development in Catholic Libraries pertaining to Bioethics.
Dr. Jim O'Toole to present on archives and possibly his current research as he is writing a new history of Boston College.
Robert O'Neill to talk about his special collections in relationship to CRRA. I, also, asked if he would consider us visiting his library and perhaps other libraries at Boston College.
I received one response that Dr. Darnton is traveling until June 16. I hope he gets back to us when her returns As I receive responses I will post them to the blog for the committees comments.
