The CLA Annual Conference in New Orleans, held April 26-28, 2011, celebrated Catholic Library Association's 90th anniversary in grand style! The Opening Night Awards Dinner featured an entertaining and informative slide show tracing Catholic Library Association's ninety-year history. Jerome Award recipient, Dr. Elizabeth Schussler Fiorenza; St Katharine Drexel Award recipient, Laurie Halse Anderson; and Aggiornameto Award recipient, Rev. Robert Barron were also feted at the awards dinner.

53rd Regina Medal recipient, Ashley Bryan, was honored on Wednesday, April 27 at the Regina Medal luncheon. Mr. Bryan also recited My People, by Langston Hughes before a rapt audience. Click on http://events.ncea.org/ to see a short video of Mr. Bryan's performance
