This former award was established by World Book, Inc. (formerly Field Enterprises Educational Corporation)and was offered from 1973 until 2008. The award provided an annual grant of up $1500 for the purpose of establishing scholarships for continuing education in school or children’s librarianship. The grant was administered by the CLA Scholarship Committee.
