Ms. Kelsey graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and received her MLIS from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a full librarian at the Louisiana State University Libraries in Baton Rouge and serves as the Electronic Reference Services and Web Development Coordinator, and also as a Religious Studies Subject Specialist. Ms. Kelsey is active in the Louisiana Library Association (LLA) and is the editor of their Web site. In addition, she has edited and/or published over thirty professional articles and several books, including Handbook of Research on Computer Mediated Communication (IGI Global, 2008) and Outreach Services in Academic and Special Libraries (Haworth Press, 2004).
The Catholic Library Association, an affiliate of the American Library Association, also publishes Catholic Periodical and Literature Index (CPLI), the only international index of Catholic periodicals. CLA offers a range of continuing education programs, including archives workshops for religious communities; produces various reference tools for librarians; provides scholarships and grants for persons in library service; sponsors CLA Reads; and a host of related offerings.
